MILLER, WALKER posted by Herbert N. Miller on Saturday, February 1, 1997

Looking for information on my paternal grandparents, Roy Harvard MILLER and Myrtle May MILLER, both born in Alma, Michigan in 1880 (I believe). They were married on June 14th, 1990 in Alma. I am especially interested in learning the names of "their" parents. I have identified the name of a Chester WALKER who served in the Civil War with the 8th Michigan Infantry from that area. This could be significant as I do remember that my grandmother had a brother named Chester WALKER. The older Chester WALKER (from the Civil War) could possibly have been the father or an uncle. I have also surfaced the name of a John WALKER who served with the 29th Michigan Infantry. On the MILLER side, the Gratiot County USGenWeb site has surfaced the names of Charles W. and Carlisle MILLER (perhaps brothers) who both enlisted in the 21st Michigan Infantry on December 26, 1863. While the above Civil War roster names may or may not be relevant they are included for whatever use they may provide.
