My grandfather and greatgrandfather farmed in Gratiot County around 1900. Apparently the spelling of their surmame was changed from Rosecrans to Rosecrance about 1910. I know this from land deeds that I saw ant my grandmother's home. I'd like to find out more about them and their relatives. I am just beginning in geneology so could use a little help to start. Some of the first names of the Rosecrance's were Levi, Jay, Jackson, Paul.

I am looking for information on Gratiot County's Old Age Pension records. I have tried to find out at the Courthouse, but know one knew what I was talking about. My parents have mentioned this fact about the Old Age pension records several times, but I haven't had any luck in locating them. I appreciate any leads. Thanks.
